Welcome to the Military Spouse Anxiety Disorder Foundation
Here, you will find information about our organization, how you can help, and how we can help you.
The military spouse goes through their own unique battles. Spouses can have just as much mental health issues as an active duty service member including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Often times the spouse is overlooked for medical needs. Before, during, and after deployments the spouse has a very heavy burden to carry, not knowing if/when their spouse will return home, and then not knowing what condition their spouse will come home in.
Not only with deployments, a military spouse endures a lot from growing families, single parenting, relocating on a regular basis, changing schools/churches/jobs, and much more. It’s exhausting to think about it. We as a group want to offer support for those dealing with these stresses and issues. We would like to offer guidance, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen with, and possible resources for those that need it. There are many branches in the military, but us as spouses are in this together. We are a unique family and should support one another.
